We are absolutely delighted to announce we were successful in our funding application to the Kirkcaldy Area Neighbourhood Engagement Scheme (KANES).

We have been awarded a grand total of £4994.20 to put towards Portable Flood Lights; Night Lights and basic bike tool kits. This is fantastic news and will really strengthen the club by allowing us to extend the sessions into the autumn/winter months and introduce new skills and variety to the club.

We would like to thank the Kirkcaldy KANES initiative and especially all the community groups and public who voted for us today! Well done to you all – it was great to meet so many amazing groups from our local community.

NEW MEMBERS!!

Don’t be shy, we won’t bite. Come along for a couple of taster sessions and see what we’re all about. We cater for all ages and abilities, male and female. All we need from you is that you turn up with a working bike(bike safety checks are conducted every week) and a correctly fitting helmet. Appropriate clothing is also handy, we don’t want anything getting caught in moving parts of the bike or snagged on bits of the trails. We won’t take you blasting round tight trails if you aren’t sure about handling a bike, we have sessions in the park with plenty of space and cones instead of trees. We will encourage you to build up your confidence and let you do things at your own pace. Mountain Biking is meant to be fun, and that’s how we like to keep it.

It was decided to make a clean start with memberships and fees. We will run the membership year as a calendar year with no overlapping in to the next year. So say if you pay your membership now, it will run until the end of the season 2012. If someone turns up and joins the club in August, they will pay their fee and that too will run until the end of the season 2012.
It might seem a bit unfair but at the same time it makes it so much easier for us to control and we decided to keep the cost the same as last year at £10 for juniors and £20 for seniors. You can download 2012 membership forms from the club documents page. Completed memberships forms and fees can also be handed to club officials at trainning sessions. All returning members must fill in a new form to keep our contact and medical records up to date.
